Join the fun!
Competitions
The competitions traditionally held over the weekend are exactly what you would expect to find at a typical County Fair: eating contests, cook-offs, haybale tosses, and more!

The Country Mudder is a test of speed, endurance, and teamwork. Competitors work together to help teammates through a series of obstacles: moving a giant tire, swinging from ropes, and trudging through mud!

New in 2025, the Baraga County Fair Color Fun Run & Walk, is an event held on the Papin Road in Pelkie. This is not a timed race. Instead, it serves as a fun, social gathering for the community. Participants run or walk 2 miles and are doused with colored chalk at different checkpoints along the way. It's a rainbow of fun on a Saturday morning!

All events are volunteer-led, and community participation is crucial. This year we are still looking for event coordinators for the Country Mudder and other Competitions. The Color Run & Walk also needs volunteers to throw color on Saturday. Fill out our volunteer form on our 'Contact Us' page if you're interested in getting involved at the Fair!

*Scheduled Events will be added when we have Coordinators to run them... keep checking to see which events will be held this year.
