Carnival Games

The Baraga County Carnival & Fun Fair was a 2025 addition to our weekend activities. Thanks to a host of sponsors funding the materials, and the innovation of a couple local families, these games came to life just in time for the fair. The hope was to create fun for all ages and provide a little old-fashioned family entertainment. Thankfully, it was a success!

 

There are a host of amusing carnival games for fairgoers to test their skills...

Milk Bottle Toss: perhaps the most traditional, our wooden milk bottles were beautifully crafted by local artisans at R&H Woodworking.

​

Gravity Ball: two basketball hoops mounted over a gravity box allow for friends to compete, with balls conveniently returned for more fun.

​

Giant Slingshot: launch a ball to knock down targets.

​

Double Bull Ringer: how many swings does it take to hook the bull's nose?

​

Buzz Wire & Ultimate Buzz Wire: do NOT touch the metal handle on the way through the twisted wire- you'll know if you do!

​

Ring Toss: try to toss a ring around a bottle neck.

​

Flicken' Chicken: a side-by-side rubber chicken launching competition!  

​

Big Top: a circus-themed game where up to four competitors send their tops spinning in attempts to ring the hanging bell.

​

Axe Throwing: a two-person toy axe target competition.

​

Plinko: how many falling balls can you catch at the bottom?

​

Nest Egg: similar to 'Connect Four' but with more skill. Take turns bouncing ping pong balls to complete a row, or try to fill the whole nest!
